Participaction’s “Community Better Challenge” is an annual event that aims to get neighbourhoods across the country moving together. It takes place between May 31st and June 16th and asks individuals to track all of their minutes of physical activity. The city of Burlington is hoping to win this distinction of Canada’s Most Active Community and are asking residents to sign up for the Challenge by incorporating physical activity where they live, work and play. The nationwide challenge will recognize and celebrate community achievements, crowning regional winners and ultimately appointing one community with the designation to be Canada’s Most Active Community.
Here at LaSalle, we’ll be doing our best to help Burlington win this honour by tracking all of our minutes of physical activity in all of our exercise classes, walking clubs etc.… In addition, we’ll be having a special event, “LaSalle Walks!”, where we will walk to LaSalle Park. Along the way, we can expect many fun surprises to give us that extra motivation to keep on going as well as an after party in the courtyard! Let’s all work together and make our minutes count to make Burlington the most active community in Canada!
